16th IATSO Conference
August 25-27, 2021
Frankfurt, Germany & virtual
Dear participants,
Welcome to the 16th conference of the International Association for the Treatment of Sexual Offenders (IATSO) online and at the Goethe University in the vibrant city of Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Every two years, experts from across the globe gather together to be part of a memorable scientific and social experience. After having to postpone the 2020 conference due to the pandemic, we are even more excited to start this year with a brand-new format. All in the spirit of our conviction to open ourselves up to new challenges and opportunities and thus to further develop our discipline, IATSO 2021 is our first hybrid conference. From August 25th to 27th 2021 we will be devoting ourselves to the congress topics of “Current Developments in Etiology, Assessment, and Prevention of Sexual Offending”, both virtually and on site, enabling as many interested persons as possible to participate.
We see this hybrid format not only as a compromise but rather as an invitation to break new ground. For this reason, there will be further innovations such as an on-site track of keynote sessions held in German by experts from German-speaking countries. In addition, there will be new networking opportunities, as a digital meeting room with the possibility to exchange ideas or discuss content. And last but not least, we want to make the congress as environmentally friendly as possible. Under the motto “Frankfurt – a colorful city in green”, we will try to produce as little waste as possible for the event on site. For all further information, we invite you to take a look at the following information. We will of course be available to answer your questions throughout the congress.
IATSO 2021 is a kind of beta version, a field test that we want to venture with you – from colleagues for colleagues,
Your IATSO 2021 Team
